Healing the world within is the quickest path to joy. Whenever you see something on the outside that is upsetting or incongruent to your way of seeing or doing things, do you feel the need to fix it in order to feel all right or move forward? If so, next time this type of situation arises, pause for a moment and decide first to feel all right no matter what, acknowledging the piece inside of you that resonates with this issue and watch how the event tends to “fix” itself.
How your animals help
Your animals are here to help you do this. In fact they are masters at it. They live and love in the present moment. They also serve as an insightful reflection of your thoughts and beliefs. When clients contact me with concerns about a pet’s behavior, I merge energetically with the animals to understand the situation from their point of view. I see, hear, feel or sense their side of the story. Then we discuss ways to create a positive outcome for all.
Pets often manifest a behavior or health issue to show their people what energy they are broadcasting. To help facilitate a deep and lasting shift, I make sure to allow time in the session to help people become aware of their energy and how it could be fueling an unwanted condition. Whether positive or negative, this energy impacts everything and everyone in their immediate environment as well as adding to the collective consciousness pool. Since energy is a blend of thoughts, beliefs and emotions, a positive transformation begins with a positive thought. The good news is that we are all in control of our thoughts.
A game to try
So try this game with your pets. Sit quietly and think some happy thoughts such as what it would be like to relax on a beach, to get that promotion or to be in the arms of a loved one. You could even imagine getting your pet a treat and the happiness that will bring to them. Observe your pet as you notice your feelings become an extension of your thoughts. Look deep into their eyes and become aware of their body language. Do they appear content?
Then try it again with some not so appetizing thoughts. Think about a stressful event or argument in your mind or a situation that didn’t go your way and again notice how your animal is responding. Are they backing away or do they have a worried look on their face?
Thank your animals for playing this game with you. In-joy rewriting your internal script and flowing more easily with the currents of life.
